… within a painting there are many possibilities for the viewer to follow. How many times have we all just gazed at clouds or the fading embers of a fire and perceived our own varying images? Burnside gallery, Selkirk present an artist strongly influenced by zen.

Morris Manson attended Kingston upon Hull College of Art, and moved to Skye with his wife Jane, as a potter. In the 1990s they moved to Selkirk where Morris returned to his first love, painting.
