Minnie & The Moochers

Minnie & The Moochers play an eclectic mix of retro Swing, Jazz & Jump-Blues for swing-dancers. The band's repertoire ranges from 1930s swing, such as Duke Ellington's It Dont Mean A Thing If It Aint Got That Swing', to 1940s jump-blues, such as Dinah Washington's I Know How To Do It and 1950s jazz classics, like Peggy Lee's Why Dont You Do Right. The band is lead by Dave Piggott on guitar, with Alice Jelaska on vocals and clarinet, supported by Pete Feldon on bass and Martin Grubb on drums. This band are hot on the swing-dance scene, and are not to be missed if you are a lover of toe-tapping swing, jazz and jump-blues at its best.
