Details

Festival favourites Merry Hell – whose brilliant set lit up the Crown Ballroom at last years Words And Music – are back by popular demand.Merry Hell will play a special pre-festival gig – on Sunday October 2nd – a gig to get everyone well and truly in the mood for festival week.It marks the end of a spectacularly successful summer for the band, and promises to be a real roof raiser. This show doubles as a fund raiser for Words & Music and Nantwich Roots, helping us to continue staging our events in the unique, challenging climate that all venues and festivals have been living through. Nastee Chapel are building a bridge that connects our folk history to our modern era. Tales of morality, mortality and the simple joys of life are interwoven with foot stomping riffs, progressive instrumentals and melodies that yank on the coldest of heart strings.Formed in 2019, the two core members of the band, Natalie and Steve, have brought their love for traditional British, Irish and Appalachian folk, sweetened it with a little bluegrass and country influence and then poured in ideas from their eclectic musical backgrounds to create an innovative sound that will tickle the tastebuds of music maestros and casual listeners alike.
