Headline artist Simon McCorry will explore his work through a workshop followed by opportunity for DIY electronica artists to play short sets (EMOM) before a final showcase fromSimon McCorry plus support from Giants Of Discovery Simon McCorry has been creating music and sound design for theatre, contemporary dance & film for 20 years, working with companies such as Headlong, Old Vic Productions, Tiata Fahodzi, House of Absolute, Javaad Alipoor Company & Fabula Collective. his first instrument is the cello and he uses this extensively in his work, often processing & combining it with electronics. His work has been described as electro-orchestral drone-scapes of, by turns, gauzy intimacy and soaring grandeur Mojo, highly evocative work of the otherworldly transforms the recognisable into something mysterious, even on occasion, the supernatural Monolith Cocktail. Being of mixed British/Indian ethnicity & recently diagnosed with epilepsy these experiences inform & guide and inform his practice, exploring themes of otherness and fragility.
