Details

Canterbury Chamber Choir are proud to perform for you one of the most emotionally intense 20th Century choral works in Frank Martin's Mass for Double Choir. Composed in 1922, it combines beautiful introspective personal moments of reflection and outbursts of joy and glory. It has been many years since the choir has added this work to their concert series and they are excited to bring this intelligent and passionate interpretation to you in the wonderful acoustic of St Peter's Methodist Church. Vaughan Williams' Five Mystical songs need little introduction, but the four quiet meditations with the impact from our guest soloist Greg Tassell followed by the triumphant Antiphon will be memorable for all. A retiring collection and donations for refreshments will support the work of Catching Lives, charity no 1014868
