Marianne Hazlewood: Emerge: Natural Design

New and recent botanical work focussing on emergent growth, pattern and plant architecture. Having worked with the genus Arisaema for several years now, Hazlewood is particularly drawn to the period of early growth when they first emerge from the ground, and, later, to their amazing patterned flowers or inflorescences, capturing their own natural design in these mostly monochrome works in Japanese ink paste.
