Details

My workshops are designed to provide a space to connect and bring people together whilst doing art mindfully and increasing a feeling of wellbeing and creative revitalisation. The repeat patterns in Madhubani art help guide you to find your flow through the process of painting whilst entering a relaxed state. I will be taking you step by step in the art of Madhubani Painting including how to create complex border designs using a bespoke pattern-training sheet to help guide you to make your own beautiful masterpiece. References will be provided for inspiration and as a starting point. You get to take back the beautiful painting that you make, and you will be emailed a pdf Handout of useful resources designed by me.

No prior experience is required. The aim is to enjoy this art as a form of mindfulness and wellbeing. We provide materials for you to use during this workshop. However you are welcome to bring your own watercolour and acrylic paints and brushes, if you prefer.

Komal Madar is a British Indian Artist. She studied at UAL Central St Martins College of Art & Design and has exhibited and sold her work in the UK and abroad which resulted in her being featured in many international publications.
