Made in Dagenham

Following the success of their 2023 show “The Wedding Singer”, Inverness Musical Theatre are proud to present “Made in Dagenham”! Based on the acclaimed 2010 film of the same name, “Made in Dagenham” dramatises the inspiring events of the 1968 sewing machinists’ strike at the Ford factory in Dagenham, Essex – events which heavily influenced the drafting of the Equal Pay Act of 1970. Follow the leader of the strike, Rita O’Grady, as she risks family and friendships in the fight for equal pay, respect and gender equality. Packed full of humour, this feel-good powerhouse show features a rousing score from start to finish including Everybody Out, Busy Woman and the dizzying finale Stand Up, and is sure to give you goosebumps as you rally behind Rita and the women of Dagenham!
