Loretto Music Summer Camp

The Loretto Music Summer Camp is based in the Music Centre on campus and is led by Nicola Kendall. The Music Centre is equipped with dedicated practice rooms, a professional recording studio and concert hall. The Music Camp is a melodic week full of fun; young participants have the opportunity to study rock & pop instruments in both solo and group settings, including guitar, bass guitar, ukulele, keyboard, drum kit and singing. The week will culminate with a performance for family and friends in the Loretto Concert Hall, where the young musicians will demonstrate their musical accomplishments.

Nicola Kendall is an RSAMD graduate who has taught Drumkit and Percussion full-time for 20 years, 16 of those at Loretto. Nicola performs regularly across the central belt with Music Theatre companies, Brass Bands, Chamber Orchestras and Function Bands. Most recent performances include; Lena at the Edinburgh Fringe telling the story of Lena Zavaroni, a Scottish tour with La Dolce Vita Swing Collective, and Rewind, an 80s tribute band coming to a venue near you soon!
