Langtoun Jazz Festival 2024

Langtoun Jazz stages the middle day of the 2024 Langtoun Jazz Festival in the beautifully-refurbished Beveridge Suite on Saturday 1 June. And what a day it will be, with three performances by top-quality Scottish jazz musicians! Dunfermline drummer Tom Gordon kicks things off at 2.00 pm with his all-star Kansas City 7, showcasing the music of Count Basie and Benny Goodman amongst other stars of the 1930’s when Kansas City was one of the hotbeds of jazz. A change of pace sees rising vocal star Marianne McGregor perform in an intimate duet with pianist Paul Harrison. Rounding off proceedings in the evening is Yorkshire bassist Ben Crosland with a cross-generational Scottish band playing his critically-acclaimed Solway Stories Suite.
