Details

You may have noticed in the Kings Park small concrete blocks with mosaic panels on the front of each block, dotted around the park. They form a heritage trail that illustrates some of the history of the park and were conceived by the Friends of Kings Park.

The panels were created in 2011 from art work by the students of St Modan's High school and the project was supervised by the artist Meredith Crone.

Each panel has a story to tell so in conjunction with the 900th anniversary of the Burgh of Stirling, the Friends of Kings Park will organise a walk to discuss the stories behind the mosaics.

We will meet at the main entrance and walk around the perimeter of the field, stopping at each of the mosaics to tell the story behind each and finish up at the Pavilion Café, also touching upon the role of the Pavilion before it became the popular café that it is today.

Weather: Rain or shine, but we will follow MET office advice and cancel if there is a severe weather warning.

Dress: Please dress appropriately for weather and wear appropriate footwear.

Accessibility: We will stick to the path so it would be easily accessible by foot or wheels (we will keep an eye on the massive puddle near the playpark).
