Jazz Rooms meets Soulful Strut

Legendary DJ/Broadcaster Russ Dewbury brings his Jazz Rooms meets Soulful Strut event back to Brighton on Saturday April 20th! With flavours from both iconic Brighton club nights standby for a block rocking Spring Party in one of Brighton’s best venues. Russ is joined on the decks by the original Jazz messenger and bona fide DJ legend Paul Murphy who returns after his sell out Waterbear appearance last year. Heavily featured by The Face and ID magazines in the 1980’s Paul was responsible for spreading a new musical message across a series of legendary club sessions incl The Electric Ballroom, Wag club, Sol Y Sombre and many others. His influence has been huge on many across the dance music spectrum and his legacy continues with his excellent Jazz Room Records, one of the hottest labels out there. Percussion maestro Tim “Bongos” Mercer will be adding the Latin fire with his live rhythms and grooves. Funk/Jazz/Afro/Latin/Soul/Disco/Global Beats all in the mix on a lush sound system.
