Irish Linen Lantern Making with Ruth Osborne

Join accomplished craft tutor Ruth Osbourne for this three-hour workshop that allows you to design and create your very own Irish Linen Lantern, perfect for lighting up those warm summer evenings. Your lantern jar will be wrapped in Irish Linen and delicately printed with seasonal fresh and dried foliage, which has historic use or symbolism connected to the season.

Ruth Osborne creates mixed media original artworks combining printmaking and painting, alongside fine art prints and cards. Her work is inspired by nature, the seasons, plants and flowers, and Irish folklore. It is intrinsically linked to a sense of place and the majority of her original works are created on Irish Linen- chosen for its beautiful and sustainable qualities, its history within Ireland, and the painterly manner with which it holds colour and marks.
