An exclusive celebration of the birth of Orkney writer George Mackay Brown.

Join Barbara McLean, David Campbell, and Wendy Weatherby as they share their a?ectionate portrait of George in this collage of recordings, story, music, and song.

This event also marks the 70th anniversary of his arrival to study at Newbattle Abbey College in 1951, under fellow Orcadian poet, critic and novelist Edwin Muir, who was engaged as the college warden between 1950 and 1955. This celebration has been speci?cally composed for the College.
