International Jazz Day Event

Details

In recognition of International Jazz Day (April 30th) students and staff from the Chichester Conservatoire will play through the entire Real Book (the 'Bible' of jazz repertoire) in one day. Members of the public and students are welcome to come and listen (if it's a nice day we will have tables and chairs out on the grass - if it's not we can provide umbrellas or you can sit inside). If nothing else, it should be interesting and certainly will subscribe to the jazz ethos of living life on the edge and taking chances...

The 30th of April is International Jazz Day, declared in 2011 by UNESCO in collaboration with jazz pianist Herbie Hancock and celebrated every year since then with live streams, a global jazz concert and over 180 countries participating (they even celebrated it from the International Space Station, so we now have jazz in space)!
