Huw Wiggin (saxophone) and Noriko Ogawa (piano) have been performing together as a duo since their first collaboration in Hong Kong in 2018. Their CD ‘Rhapsody’ was released on Orchid Classics in March 2023, and features a programme of rhapsodic works including new commissions from Joseph Phibbs, Jennifer Watson and Iain Farrington.

Since winning First Prize and Gold Medal and being named ‘Commonwealth Musician of the Year’ at the Royal Over-Seas League Annual Music Competition in 2014, Huw Wiggin has become one of the most popular saxophonists of his generation.

Noriko Ogawa has achieved considerable renown throughout the world since her success at the Leeds International Piano Competition. Noriko’s “ravishingly poetic playing” (Telegraph) sets her apart from her contemporaries and acclaim for her complete Debussy series with BIS Records (“If you like your Debussy to sound like the musical equivalent of a chilled white wine, Noriko Ogawa is the pianist for you” Roger Vignoles, BBC Radio 3, CD Review), confirms her as a fine Debussy specialist.
