Two sessions:

10am to 12pm for 4 to 8 year olds

1pm to 3pm for 7 to 11 year olds

Join us for a hands-on, creative workshop exploring community, nature, and the heritage of common land, especially for home educators and their children!

This workshop explores our new exhibition, Common Ground, and its themes of land access, our diminished rights to roam, and the evolving relationship between humans and the landscape.

Each child will design and create their own unique flag, drawing inspiration from personal experiences, the natural world, and the themes of the exhibition. They will craft their own custom stamp, adding repeating patterns and symbols to further personalize their flags. The final piece will reflect their vision of community, nature, and shared heritage.

This is a chance for children to engage with local stories, think critically about their surroundings, and take pride in their creativity!

You will notice an overlap in ages for the two sessions. As you know your child, please choose which session you think would be best for them.
