Hilltop Hoods

One of the most critically acclaimed hip-hop successes from Australia, Hilltop Hoods debuted in the late '90s as an independent outfit, issuing A Matter of Time in 1999. Starting in the mid-2000s, they kicked off an impressive run of releases, issuing a string of award-winning, chart-topping albums that were all certified multi-platinum. 2006's The Hard Road was one such effort and it was later reimagined with an orchestra on The Hard Road: Restrung. A pair of hit albums -- Drinking from the Sun (2012) and Walking Under Stars (2014) -- were similarly reworked on 2016's Drinking from the Sun, Walking Under Stars Restrung. Closing out the decade, they issued one of their most critically acclaimed successes to date, 2019's platinum The Great Expanse.
