Hidden: Music Of Mystery And Meditation

Pakefield Singers will be performing sublime pieces inspired by and to complement the art installation "Hidden" by renowned ecclesiastical sculptor Peter Walker, which will be suspended in the church above the choir.

Items will include contemporary pieces by Taverner, O Magnum Mysterium by Lauridsen, described by the composer as 'a quiet song of profound inner joy'. Gjeilo's 'O Lux Beata', with oboe accompaniment; the Benedictus from The Armed Man alongside pieces by Mozart, Bach, Mendelssohn and Faure.
