It took Handel only 24 days to put words to music for the Messiah, which he conceived as an Easter piece. However in the lead up to Christmas, Handel’s Messiah is everywhere. In London alone, it will be given its 567th live outing since 1872 at the Royal Albert Hall. So after the rush of the lead up to Christmas join Cardiff Bach for an evening of Handel during Christmaside.
