George Frideric Handel: _Jephtha HWV70 _

The first of our two choral concerts this year is a performance of Handel's dramatic final oratorio, Jephtha, composed in 1751.

Petersfield Musical Festival 2023 runs from 17 to 25 March 2022, with another exciting programme of concerts, and a wide range of performers and music - including brass, choral, orchestral, songs from the shows and chamber music.

Paul Spicer is one of today’s most distinguished choral conductors and is in great demand for his inspirational choral workshops. He conducts the Birmingham Bach Choir, is founder-director of the acclaimed Finzi Singers, and is Professor of Choral Conducting at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. He has been Resident Conductor at Petersfield Musical Festival since 2005.
