We are thrilled to conclude our concert season with a captivating performance by two of the UK's most exceptional musicians: cellist Guy Johnston and pianist Tom Poster. Acclaimed as one of Britain's most exciting cellists, Guy Johnston is renowned for his passionate advocacy of chamber music and recitals. As founding Artistic Director of the Hatfield House Music Festival he has performed at esteemed venues and festivals across Europe and with leading international orchestras. Tom Poster, praised as "mercurially brilliant" (The Strad) and "a marvel" (The Herald), is co-founder and artistic director of Kaleidoscope Chamber Collective, an ensemble of inspirational musicians dedicated to creative programming. Together they present a compelling programme: the elegant, graceful beauty of Saint-Saens is followed by a sonata by the Czech master Martinu showcasing his romantic heritage, with its lyrical temperament extended by a freedom of harmony and rhythms. Another masterpiece by Beethoven brings an unforgettable season to a close.
