Gloria!

Our programme of varied music by English composers spanning four centuries will feature a brass ensemble and organ. Programme to include:

Tallis' beautiful and atmospheric Lamentations Benjamin Brittens Hymn to St Cecilia, with its vivid imagery and complex harmonies The five spirituals set by Michael Tippett in A Child of our time Purcells sombre and expressive Funeral Sentences And, finally, John Rutter's exuberant Gloria.
