Funhouse Comedy Club - Comedy Night

Funhouse Comedy Club returns to Foxlowe Arts Centre, Leek on Thursday October 6th for more fun and laughter. Topping the bill is 2021 British Comedian of the Year Finalist, Greek comedian George Zach who has supported Luisa Omielan on tour. After gaining a degree in England he decided not to return to his home on a Greek Island. Instead, he chose to follow his passion for comedy, live in Newcastle and now entertains audiences with his funny Geordie observations. Opening the night will be the effortlessly engaging Andrew Bird, who has appeared on TV on The Russell Howard Hour, was the support act on Michael McIntyre's recent arena tour and has also supported Rhod Gilbert and Lee Hurst on tour, as well as performing internationally. Watching The Young Ones with his brothers as an eight year old, at two in the morning on Comic Relief, he realized then that he wanted to be funny in some way. With his personal appeal and superbly crafted, funny anecdotes, he captivates his audiences. Also appearing is a Funhouse Comedy Gong Show winner Peter Edge, with his hilarious personal tales. Completing the line-up will be Mike Carter with his amusing stories on a variety of subjects. Compere for the night will be the cheeky, chatty Dave Twentyman, who puts a big smile on everyone's face. Talking a lot about the subjects closer to home such as family life and friends.
