Details

Fauves are an indie-pop band from Glasgow who blend elements of funk, disco and jazz throughout their music. The band are recognisable for their unique sound and artworks, taking their name from Fauvism, an early 20th Century French art movement which utilised vibrant colours and shapes. Fauves have been likened to MGMT and Metronomy by BBC Radio Scotland’s Vic Galloway, with the band themselves citing Bee Gees, Tame Impala and Steely Dan among their influences. The group have headlined shows around the UK as well as on the festival scene for BBC introducing, Belladrum and Tenement TV amongst others, building a reputation as a bouncing live act, yet sonically incomparable to many of their peers in Glasgow’s punk-saturated music scene.
