Sir John Falstaff, the quintessential loveable English rogue of a bygone era, needs more money to support his ever-growing empire of food and wine. He plans to use his legendary powers of seduction to extract the money from two married women, Alice Ford and Meg Page. What follows is a delightful dance of plot, counterplot, subterfuge, love, and lust, all wrapped in one of Verdis greatest scores.
