Singer, songwriter, TV presenter and GQ 'Man Of The Year'
Few in K-Pop can match Eric Nam for international impact. The singer, songwriter, TV star and GQ Korea’s 2016 man of the year boasts over a billion streams on Spotify alone and an entrepreneurial mindset that landed him on Forbes’ 30 under 30 list.
Nam was born in Atlanta, Georgia and studied in Boston before moving to India to take up a position with a non-profit organisation. While there, Nam posted videos of him singing covers on YouTube, resulting in an invitation to take part in the reality show Star Audition: Birth of a Great Star 2. Nam finished in the top five, launching a music career as a solo star as well as roles on Korean TV shows After School Club and The ASC After Show.
A string of singles and EPs in Korea led up to Nam’s US debut with 2016’s ‘Into You’, a collaboration with KOLAJ, followed soon after by the Timbaland-produced ‘Body’.
After a 2018 headlining tour around North America, Nam released his debut album Before We Begin in 2019. That same year, he released two acclaimed podcasts K-Pop Daebak w/ Eric Nam and I Think You're Dope w/ Eric Nam. In 2020, he appeared on the popular Netflix series Somebody Feed Phil.
Nam’s second album There And Back Again followed in 2022.
