Eods Present Kinky Boots

This funny, moving and heart-warming musical, was based on a true story which was originally aired by the BBC as a factual piece about a struggling Northamptonshire shoe factory. The story caught people’s imaginations and in 2005 it was turned in to a popular film. In 2013, the film of Kinky Boots became the basis of a Broadway Tony award winning stage musical, with a joyous score and lyrics written by Cyndi Lauper and a hilarious and uplifting script from Harvey Fierstein. In 2015, the musical of Kinky Boots opened in the West End, where it played over 1,400 performances to packed houses, before closing in 2019.

Kinky Boots is a fun yet poignant show, which embraces inclusivity and sends out a positive message to everyone - proving that you can triumph over adversity, be whoever you want to be and that it’s most definitely ok to stand out from the crowd!

EODS are thrilled to be the first amateur society in Eastbourne to perform this wonderful musical and hope that by the end of the performance we will have you on your feet dancing and leaving with a smile on your face!
