A group show of 2 ceramicists from Angus and a photographer from Mull.

Carolyne Mazur is a photographer and farmer living on the Isle of Mull. Her work is an ongoing record of island and farming life, past and present. She is making a catalogue of fanks: a structure of stone walled pens used for handling sheep. Her photographs explore the textures, shapes and colours within their walls, and to place them within the differing landscapes of Mull and neighbouring islands. But more than that, they remind us of the changes in social history and land use following the Clearances, which resulted in the population of Mull halving.

Georgina Sampson is a potter working mainly in earthenware clay, throwing and building vases and bowls and one-off pieces. She uses underslip colours, stencils and transparent glazes. She is influenced by the forms and colours of the landscape around rural Angus and her travels abroad.

Catharina Dessain works in a variety of clays, using slips and oxides to decorate her work. The work is hand built or slip cast from handmade moulds, some of the pieces are sculptural, others more useful. Her long love of working with clay began after a sculpture course at Dundee College, and later a ceramics course at Arbroath College.
