‘Painting is silent poetry’ – John Lavery

Maureen Boyle started writing again as an adult after being inspired by a painting, finding something freeing in this form known as ‘ekphrastic’, a form that has intrigued her ever since. If you would like to explore this aspect of writing, join us at the Homeplace where we’ll look at a range of ekphrastic poems to get a sense of what the form can allow us to do and you will write your own poems from paintings.

Suitable for all levels of writers.
