Dumbo Gets Mad is a psychedelic pop project founded in 2011 by Luca Bergomi. The project debuted from Los Angeles with its first album "Elephants at the Door," which quickly garnered a worldwide fanbase with its initial release. The first single ever released, "Plumy Tale," was named one of the top 50 tracks of 2011 by Joe Tangari on Pitchfork, and "Marmalade Kids" was selected as the song of the day by NPR. In 2013, they released the new album "Quantum Leap." Compared to the previous album, this one is a psychedelic jam session, with "Indian Food" solidifying the project's status in the US music scene. The third release, "Thank You Neil," arrived in 2015, a soul-infused album inspired by American astrophysicist and science communicator Neil deGrasse Tyson. Recorded live, the album showcases a more elegant and minimalistic production approach and again received international critical acclaim. In 2019, the single "Makes You Fly" was released under the French label "Nice Guys," followed by the album "Things Are Random And Time Is Speeding Up" in February 2021, leading to a tour in Nor th America and Mexico. In 2021, Dumbo Gets Mad collaborated with Marracash on the production of the album “Noi Loro Gli Altri.
