"The only people we could possibly mess up are ourselves"
Interior designer Gilda, artist Otto and playwright Leo are best friends - and lovers. How can they keep their friendship alive amidst the complications of their three-way passion and growing celebrity? Design of Living is full Of Noel Coward's witty comedy, acutely illuminating the play's darker undercurrents.
Initially banned in Britain for its scandalous subject matter, Design for Living opened on Broadway in 1932. Ninety years on we may be less bound by rigid moral codes but the play's themes, characters and dilemmas still have the power to provoke and Coward's brilliant writing still has the power to amuse. Contains adult themes
