A Comedy - with Murder!

Set during a weekend in an English country manor house in 1932, Death by Design combines the plot of an Agatha Christie thriller with the wit and humour of Noël Coward.

Playwright Edward Bennett and his actress wife, Sorel Bennett, flee London and head to Cookham after a disastrous opening night. Various guests arrive unexpectedly - among them a conservative politician, a fiery socialist, a near-sighted ingénue and a bohemian artist and dancer - each of them with a long-held secret.

When someone is murdered, it's left to Bridgit, the feisty maid with a macabre interest in homicide, to find out "whodunnit" in her own inimitable style.
