Details

Dean Owens, from Leith, resident of Edinburgh, AMAUK 'Song Of The Year' Award winner 2019, on tour with The Southerners, AMAUK 'Instrumentalist Of The Year' Tom Collison (also ever-welcome at The Greys) and Jim Maving. Receiving well-earned praise, award and further acclaim - this is Dean Owens' year.

Whether with The Felsons, solo or with an ever-evolving number of collaborators including members of The Mavericks and his Whisky Hearts, Dean Owens has carved a career that has seen Dean and his 'Celtic Americana' described as 'Scotland's most engaging and haunting Singer-Songwriter' by Irvine Welsh.

He has a range of albums recorded in UK, New York and Nashville, acclaimed recordings with producer in demand Neilson Hubbard (plus the ambitious and very well received 'Buffalo Blood' project which was unveiled at Celtic Connections this year).

The emotional honesty in Dean Owens' songs shines through as he sings about people and places, love and regrets. A gritty yet lyrical Scottish sensibility, delivered with a searingly soulful voice. 'One of Scotland's best...Fantastic stuff' Bob Harris.
