Details

Curious About Liverpool gives a different glimpse into what makes Liverpool what it is today: the events, people and places that have shaped it.

Resident or just visiting, you are bound to spot things you've never noticed before. Walks take 1 to 2 hours each, though our suggestions for things to see and do along the way may distract you!

  1. Museums, Music and Culture - 1.5 miles / 1.5 hours, Wheelchair/Buggy friendly

Starting in Liverpool’s cultural quarter you’ll quickly pass St George’s Hall, Walker’s Art Gallery, the Central Library, the World Museum and the memorial gardens of St John. Next explore stories of those who created the Mersey Beat, before arriving at Mathew Street, home to The Beatles! Finally make your way round the oldest of streets, past the site of Liverpool’s castle, before ending at Liverpool’s dramatic 18th century Town Hall.

  1. River, Port and Docks - 1 mile / 1 hour, Wheelchair/buggy friendly (with short diversion)

Starting at one of Britain’s finest surviving Town Halls you'll walk along ancient streets, past the parish church with delightful gardens, down to the River Mersey. Here you can feel Liverpool’s heritage. A wide river with boats plying their trade on one side, and the magnificent splendour of early 20th century buildings on the other - the Three Graces. Next pass the new Beatles Museum, before finishing at the magnificently refurbished Albert Dock.
