‘Don’t talk to me like that’. Join us for this exciting creative writing workshop with former Cheshire Poet Laureate, published author, playwright and experienced workshop facilitator, Joy Winkler. Of this workshop, Joy says….

We will take a good look at what makes compelling dialogue. For example, how to up the pace for anger and excitement or how to dial it down for forgiveness and remorse. We will look at how people speak to each other in real life and in real situations. Additionally, we will give our characters unique personalities by the way they speak using dialect, local phraseology, pet phrases and cliche. We will also consider the correct vernacular when our writing is set in a different era. Times: 10.30am - 4pm
