Cookham Bells: Bell Ringing Extravaganza

There is an excellent ring of 10 bells at Holy Trinity, Cookham. The bellringers would be delighted to welcome visitors to the Cookham Festival on Saturday afternoon, 11th May, to come along to the tower to gain a brief insight and overview into the ancient, and unique, art of English, Full Circle bellringing.

There will be a short talk in the ringing chamber, together with a demonstration of bellringing, followed by a visit to the belfry for anyone wishing to see the actual bells. As space is limited there are 4 sessions 2pm, 2.30pm, 3pm and 3.30pm. Please book the appropriate one ​for you.

PLEASE NOTE: There are 30 stone spiral stairs up to the ringing chamber and a further 20 up to the belfry - there is a handrail and a central rope for people to hold on to.

It is hoped that as many people as possible will be able to take advantage of this very rare opportunity - something very few people ever get to see!

We are asking for a minimum charge of £5 and any extra donations. ALL MONEY, ticket sales and donations, WILL GO TO THE CHURCH
