Concert with Sophie Rosa, violin and Ian Buckle, piano

Sophie Rosa regularly performs recitals with pianist Ian Buckle and both enjoy a varied career as soloists, chamber musicians, teachers and orchestral players. They have made highly acclaimed recordings of English miniatures, praised for ‘finely judged detail, expansiveness and lots of heart’. Sophie and Ian have chosen a lovely programme of three diverse sonatas. The first from the 17th century by a wonderfully talented Italian Mother Superior, another by Respighi (a truly gorgeous and emotional piece) and the third, one of Beethoven's most well-loved works.
