Funhouse Comedy Club brings another great night of laughter to Foxlowe Arts Centre, Leek on Thursday September 1st. Topping the bill is award winning comedian and writer Mark Maier. Before starting in comedy he wrote and performed in numerous radio commercials in America. Also in demand as a voiceover, you may have heard him on South Park as well as various commercials. As a comic actor, he appeared alongside Ardal O'Hanlon and Hugh Dennis in BBC TV's long-running sitcom 'My Hero' and has many TV and Radio credits to his name. His inventive material is delivered with a mix of humour and tragedy. Opening the night will be comedian and script writer Sean Percival. His brand of comedy steers clear of the surreal and confronts realism in an explosively funny way. His down to earth act is unforgettable with its upfront attitude, no long stories, just gags galore. Completing the line-up is Scottish funnyman Kevin Daniel one of the fastest rising stars on the Midlands circuit with hilarious, relatable material going down a storm at clubs across the region and the uniquely amusing Kent Cameron. Compere for the night will be the cheeky, chatty Dave Twentyman, who puts a big smile on everyone's face. Talking a lot about the subjects closer to home such as family life and friends.
