With Christine Primrose, Angus MacKenzie, Innes Watson, Ronan Martin and Keri

An evening of traditional Gaelic song, music and dance takes place in SEALL’s first short course Easter concert at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig. Skye’s wonderful, award-winning Gaelic singer, Christine Primrose, takes to the stage accompanied by Angus MacKenzie, pipes and whistle; Innes Watson, guitar and fiddle; Ronan Martin, fiddle; and step dancing from Keri.

Christine was born and brought up in Carloway in a Gaelic speaking community on the Island of Lewis and has been singing for as long as she can remember. She has toured in America, Canada, Australia, Ireland and Europe. She is Head of Gaelic Song at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig where she teaches short courses and full-time classes on the BA (Hons) Gaelic and Traditional Music Programme. She has won many awards for her singing, amongst them Gaelic Singer of the Year at the Traditional Music Awards in 2009.
