Cedric Burnside

Born and raised in Holly Springs, Mississippi; singer and drummer, Cedric paid his dues by going on the road aged 13 with his grandfather, the legendary RL Burnside, and learning the North Mississippi Hill Country blues heritage from a master. An intoxicating drummer and powerful vocalist, his long term Project partner is the brilliant electric guitarist, Trenton Ayers. Together, they mine the blues roots of rock and roll, get into gospel, soul, funk and country blues and make one of the most exciting and thrilling sounds on the current US blues scene.
