Braimah Kanneh-Mason Violin Recital

Details

We are delighted to welcome Braimah Kanneh-Mason to Wrekin College together with his accompanist Junyan Chen. Braimah is a dynamic and versatile young violinist. He has performed throughout the UK, Europe, USA and Australia. Recently Braimah has appeared as a soloist with Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Bath Philharmonia and the London Philharmonic Orchestra. Braimah is currently studying with Barnabás Kelemen and Eszter Perenyi at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest. He is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music where he was a scholarship student with Mateja Marinkovic and Jack Liebeck winning the Harold Craxton Prize, the John McAslan Prize and the Dame Ruth Railton Chamber Music Prize. Braimah will be accompanied by Junyan Chen, who without doubt could easily be doing her own solo recital as she is a pianist of real distinction. Having already achieved an MA and the Principal's award from the Royal Academy of Music, Junyan is currently studying for her Advanced Diploma with the world renowned pianist Joanna Macgergor CBE. She has also been selected to compete at the famous Leeds Piano Competition, where so many of the world's best known pianists shot to fame.
