Bradford Playhouse Comedy Club - February

Details

Compered by Silky and starring some of the brightest and best comedians in the UK. Decidedly dark and deliciously different, an evening with Bethany Black is a one way ticket to a world you never knew existed. Managing to balance dark-tinged comedy with being warm and chatty, she has built a cult following for her brand of confessional comedy. Her debut show Beth Becomes Her detailed the story of her being transgender, chronicling everything from her coming out, through her transition and eventually falling in love. In 2015 she was cast as Helen in Russell T Davies multi channel shows Cucumber, Banana and Tofu where she was the first trans actress to play a leading role.

Award winning writer, actor and stand up comedian, Katie Mulgrew has been heard on BBC Radio 4, BBC Radio 2 and seen on CBBC and ITV2. She is the daughter of legendary Irish funnyman Jimmy Cricket and has supported The Boy with Tape on his Face, Vikki Stone and Matt Richardson on their UK tours.
