Birdwatching Expeditions

Aviemore is not just the location of our winter Folk Festival, it’s also in the heart of some of the finest scenery in Scotland with wonderful wildlife to experience. Why not take the opportunity to see some of the local birds and wildlife that are so special to the Scottish Highlands. Transport will be in a comfortable minibus with up to six guests plus tour leaders. The pace will be set by you, so can be as easy or strenuous as you want it to be. Most sites visited will involve easy short walks from the vehicle but more strenuous activity can be included for some species if requested depending on levels of fitness.

Tour leaders are provided by a specialist local wildlife tour company.

The itinerary will be confirmed closer to the event when the species / places that you want to see can be decided. Places will be limited and as the itinerary must be planned ahead you should book well in advance to secure your place. The cost per day is £45 per person and includes collection and return from the festival resort in Aviemore, comfortable minibus transport between locations and the services of a local wildlife guide.
