Walled City Music and Moving on Music present...

Benyounes Quartet

Derry cellist Kim Vaughan returns to Northern Ireland once again with her string quartet, the international prize-winning Benyounes Quartet.

They are delighted to continue a long-standing collaboration with brilliantly innovative Belfast-born composer Deirdre Gribbin, presenting a world premiere of a brand-new work. Gribbin's music has been described as 'pure magic'; 'the powerful emotional life of the music makes it gripping.' (The Times).

Alongside Gribbin's piece, the quartet will perform two masterpieces of the chamber music repertoire: Beethoven's youthful and sparkling op.18 no.6 quartet; and the dark, brooding C minor quartet by Brahms. This promises to be an exciting and memorable concert - not to be missed.
