This half-day drawing course focusses on disease. The course is suitable for those with a range of artistic abilities and/or knowledge of human anatomy. Ideal for science inspired artists, those looking to progress into healthcare education; aspiring medics, dentists and high school students studying art or sciences.
During the workshop you will be introduced to various specimens which have suffered disease. You will develop your observational and recording skills using pen and ink, graphite powder and pencil. Here we focus on accuracy whilst producing drawings in the style of both classical and medical artists of the past. Attendees will study and recreate some of the beautifully preserved specimens held at Surgeons’ Hall Museum.
