By Oscar Wilde Directed by Fiona Dunn

"An Ideal Husband" was first performed in 1895. Our production of the play is set in 1920's London. Women's suffrage and the breakdown of the social classes were emerging in the 1920's and Wilde deals with those societal changes in "An Ideal Husband". The play is eerily prescient as it presents the plight of a promising politician desperate to hide a secret from his past. With empathy and wit, Wilde explores love, high society and the relationship between political power and personal morality. Dazzling!
