Tom Townsend is back in a suspiciously monthly manner, and is bringing nothing but himself and a guitar.
For the fist time since 2016 the cafe will be treated to his diverse catalogue of original songs, alongside interpretations of his favourite tunes.
Raised in Scarborough on a diet of Leadbelly, Fats Domino, Woody Guthrie, and The Beatles, Tom has been a working multi-instrumentalist since the age of 14. Specialising in drums, guitar, and vocals, he's played everything from jazz, latin and funk, to hip-hop and drum and bass throughout his long and international career. His 2016 album 'Leave It Up To Me' is a Steely Dan-esque opus of a debut, with some notable fans including Nick Mason of Pink Floyd.
Tom always delivers a wonderful performance at Cafe No9, and this will be a great chance to experience his talents..... this time unchaperoned.
