Details

The talented Amicus orchestra explore a programme inspired by the elegant 18th century rococo art world full of elegance, lightness and love which led the way to the romantic era. Haydn heralds the beginning of a new world with the opening ‘Chaos’ movement of his oratorio The Creation and the baton is taken up by Beethoven in his first symphony. The ultimate romantic composer Tchaikovsky looks back to these elegant times in his famous ‘Rococo’ variations for cello and orchestra.
