Bcg Concert - the French Connection

Bath Cantata Group warmly invites you to an evening of French sacred music of extraordinary beauty and power.

Under the direction of Neil Moore, the choir presents Maurice Durufle's sublime Requiem, one of the most cherished choral works of the twentieth century, alongside Jean Langlais's majestic Messe Solennelle for choir and organ.

Completing the programme are Gabriel Faure's radiant Cantique de Jean Racine and the dramatic first movement of Louis Vierne's Symphony No. 2 for organ, performed by Carleton Etherington.

Featuring fabulous soloists Ellen Griffiths (mezzo-soprano) and Orlando Barton Hodges (baritone), this richly atmospheric concert promises an unforgettable journey through the expressive heart of the French choral and organ tradition.
